Better Start for Children with Disability

From 1 January 2013, children who are aged under 6 years and have been diagnosed with Cri Du Chat Syndrome will be able to register to access early intervention funding of up to $12,000 (up to a maximum of $6,000 per financial year) under the Better Start for Children with Disability (Better Start) initiative. This is part of a recent decision to expand the funding, which will now extend to include a number of new conditions.

The 5p- Society of North America, along with support organizations from Argentina, Australia, Belgium, China, Columbia, Greece, Italy, Japan, Poland, Netherlands, Tobago, Trinidad, Turkey, and the United Kingdom, are proud to announce that May 13 – 19, 2012 will be designated as Cri Du Chat Syndrome Awareness Week.

As most of you know, Cri Du Chat syndrome affects every country, race, gender, religion, political affiliation, and social class.

Queensland Family Day - Saturday 19 May, 2012

Hi everyone, just following up on our Facebook discussions in support of Cri Du Chat awareness week, May 13-19 - thank you to everyone who has expressed an interest in catching up. We have gone with the idea of Paradise Country, right next to Movieworld, for the morning above. A link is below for more detailed information.

It seems very reasonably priced, relatively small and after discussions seems hopefully to be very friendly and accessible. Tickets can be purchased at the gate and they offer free admission if you have a companion card, or discounted rates if you have a pension card.

An easier way to update information

Hi everyone,

I am wondering if a blog on this site might make updating information a bit easier for those administering the site (AKA me at the moment, lol, but I am very keen to gather some willing and able helpers!!).

I am going to attmpt adding a few posts and might find that this area replaces the news area. I hope that this won't cause any confusion :).

The blog will basically just allow me to create a newsfeed I hope so if you wish to share any information about your child or events planned, we can add them into the blog for all to see!
